Produced from the highest quality sugar cane grown in Jamaica, this pot still rum has been sourced and selected by “Master Distiller” Billy Walker of the Clarendon distillery in southern Jamaica and transferred to the pleasant climate of Scotland for its Complete maturation at the GlenAllachie distillery.
Initially, this rum was left to mature for 30 months in American and French oak barrels at an alcoholic volume of 86%. After being blended by the expert operators at GlenAllachie Distillery and reduced to an alcoholic volume of 69%, the spirit was used to fill casks that previously contained smoked whiskey distilled at GlenAllachie to add a distinctive, smoky touch. This maturation process creates an expression in which subtle smokiness and charred wood notes combine perfectly with this Caribbean rum.
