Time in ex-bourbon and virgin oak barrels provides a smooth sweetness to Tomatin Legacy, which boasts aromas of vanilla, white chocolate and cinnamon. On the palate, delicate notes of ginger-spiced fruit emerge lightly to the front. Crisp finish.
For an introductory single malt, Legacy offers great character, making it a more than adequate welcome to the Tomatin range.
Nose – Starts with a sweet explosion of bourbon barrel aromas. Smells that remind us of cream cookies, white chocolate, vanilla and syrup, followed by notes of sandalwood, dehydrated coconut and cinnamon, aromas provided by the use of virgin oak wood.
Palate – Flavors of sweet vanilla and fresh fruit with a delicate touch of white pepper and ginger. The quality of Tomatin's spirit is reflected with flavors such as pink lady apples, rhubarb and orange peel.
Final – Fruit and oak combine to create a clear and surprising finish.
